Hyperion

Hyperion (S VII Hyperion) is one of the moons of Saturn.
Hyperion is different from most moons.
It seems probable that Hyperion is a fragment of a bigger object that suffered an impact in the distant past.
Hyperion has an appearance without any known equivalent in the solar system.
The moon of Saturn was sculpted by collisions which left very deep imprints, at the bottom of which a dark dust, similar to that which covers two neighboring moons, was detected.

Hyperion was born from an impact, a collision, and its deflagrations are as perceptible on the surface as in depth. This saturnian satellite, which knows no equal in the solar system according to scientists, has become the object of a sensitive and perilous cosmogony. The light’s burn on the paper, the alterations that eat its surface, the blinding caused by the atmospheric combustion of what we imagine to be a meteorite give this series the outline of a stellar menace. Whereas hands lain on faces and the slopes’ beauty bring about fascination, in the image of the vertigo felt in front of the sky’s depth. The collisions documented in Hyperion appear in a variety of scales and form a constellation of echoes as distant as they are internal. And it is from this perilous contact that the images of Hyperion seem to resonate, in the clash provoked and consumed by any form of alterity.
